Hi Leslyn,
Thanks for the blog! This is a horrible time for words to fail me, but please know that I'm praying for you and all of Lighthouse. Oh, that I could just rip thru some strangers roof and let you down for Jesus to heal, but since that's not an option I will be lifting you up day and night in prayer.

One of many who have got your back,
Kymm

You are in our thoughts and prayers, Brett reminded me of his dream. You were sitting in the middle of us on the ferris wheel. We are with you all the way.
Every time you come in my thoughts I am praying for you and your family.

Okay, they say third time is a charm. I tried leaving a message twice before, and each time when I’d go to preview it, it deleted it somehow. So here goes, ONE more time!

To: Leslyn, Ron, Karyn & Hannah: I was reading in my favorite daily devotional last night, Streams In The Desert, and felt so impressed that what I was reading was a word for Leslyn. It was from Psalms 29:10, which reads: “The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord is enthroned as King forever.” It went on further, “A storm is simply the hem of His robe, the sign of His coming, and the evidence of His presence. Dare to trust Him! Dare to follow Him! Then discover that the forces that blocked your progress and threatened your life become at His command the very materials He uses to build your street of freedom. (F. B. Meyer)

I believe He is building your street of freedom right now, Leslyn, through all our prayers of faith upon your behalf. I believe that your storm, or trial, is an opportunity for us all to see that our God reigns. We are believing, praying, and expecting God to perform a miracle of healing for you. We will continue to lift up prayers of faith for your healing. Know that you are very much loved by us and by all who know you. You are all in our thoughts and prayers often throughout the day. I am believing that you will be victorious, through Him who is faithful, throughout this your storm. Love, Renee & Jim

Last night I was re-reading Mahesh's book, The Hidden Power of the Believer's Touch. On page 144he was talking about how everyone has a bitter pool (trials). He said, "We have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and we need to behave like redeemed people. When we do, when we walk and live by faith in our Lord no matter what our circumstances, we will begin to see His provision and HEALING for ourselves. Sometimes God will call us to praise Him and thank Him in the midst of our bitter pool -- before deliverance or healing comes. Sometimes He will ask us to give in the middle of difficult circumstances, or remain cheerful and confident in the face of tremendous trials. This is when our faith proves itself."

Well, you are all certainly doing just this, so I am claiming/believing for a miracle for you Leslyn. I am believing God that you will not HAVE to choose between two surgeons, b/c the Lord will heal you. Yesterday, today and forever, God is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals us!! Amen, sister. Love, Renee

Leslyn,

You and your family will stay in my prayers as you make decisions and your body heals. You were there for my family in prayer when we were going through a very stressful time. You will never know how much you built my faith when you told me that you had prayed for us every time you walked or drove by our house. You knew that God wanted you to and that we needed it. You were a true blessing and answer to my prayers. Now it is my time to be in prayer for you.

Leslyn,

I wanted you to know that I will join with you in praying through this battle -and a tough battle it is. I fully understand its dynamics, as my daughter Rachel (age 25, just married in Dec 07) is facing a double mastectomy before the end of the year - long story - but our hearts join yours in standing and reversing the curse of the enemy upon you. Blessings and love from Texas,
Michal

Leslyn -- I am claiming this verse for you: Psalm 50:15 Trust Me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you and you can give me glory.

You are all trusting Him in your time of trouble, and I believe He will rescue you and bring glory to His name. You are in my prayers. Love you, Renee

Renee said...

Leslyn, Thanks for the update. The word I keep getting is `rescue.' I will continue to pray for a miraculous healing. I know a lady who had Dr. Kerlin -- she IS great, one of the best. However, I am praying you won't get to experience her surgeon skills!! You are so much in my thoughts and prayers. Hope to see you Sunday. Much love, Renee

Dearest Leslyn,
I am Roxanne, Mary's friend in Dallas. I am so sorry to hear your news. I wanted you to know that I had a mastectomy in 2004 and am soon to be at the 5 year mark of successful recovery. I am loving and praying for you and Ron. You are a treasure to us all. Love, Roxanne Buchschacher

Hi my friend. We are back from Uganda and want you to know that we prayed with ABANDON for your healing! In nearly all the places that we spoke, we asked the people to pray for your supernatural healing. In one church in Wobelenzi that Drew and I were preaching at last Sunday, we stormed the heavens for quite some time specifically battling the breast cancer that has been found in your body. I learned so many things during the trip, and one thing is that the African church knows how to intercede!! I have complete confidence that churches all over Uganda will stand in intercession with us until the Lord heals you. I love you my friend and will continue my warrior prayers even though I'm on US soil again. haha May God continue to shower you with the Grace you need as you wait. Colleen

Precious Leslyn,

When Judy told me the news, I could not wrap my brain around it.

I wanted to let you know I am standing in the gap for you and praying a banner of healing over your body.

You are such an amazing person and I admire you so much.

Reading your blog has helped me to understand what is going on and love how you keep us posted. You look "BEAUTIFUL" in short hair. That is how I remember meeting you back at the Angelino apartments. Doesn't that seem like a life time ago ?

I am so thankful for the wonderful community of people surrounding you and your family. What a priceless gift from our Faithful God !

In closing, I wanted to share one of my favorite verses with you...

Proverbs 3:56
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight".

Love you friend,

Doris

Early this morning, as I was praying for your healing, and really, all thru the nite, this song kept going thru my mind, over and over and over: How great is our God, sing with me how great is our God, and all will see, how great, how great is our God. So, I ask the Lord, "Why does this song keep playing in my mind over and over and over again, as I am praying for Leslyn's healing. The answer came to me, `Because we will ALL see how great our God is, when we see your healing. I believe it is coming and will continue to believe and pray. Love you Leslyn, Ron, Karyn & Hannah. I am continuing to lift you ALL up, yep all of you!, in prayer. Love, Renee

Leslyn,

Your faith has encouraged me so much. I am praying for you and your family. I will continue to keep up with your blog and pray for your healing until you are healed.

I also want to tell you that your short hair looks great, just like Jamie Lee Curtis. From one short haired head to another, short hair is cute, and you can totally rock it!

Hi Leslyn,
I wanted to let you know that we will be praying tomorrow! You may not even get this until your surgery is done, but we absolutely love you and your wonderful family. You have made a HUGE difference in my life and the life of my sister. You are encouraging, uplifting, courageous and strong! God must have amazing things planned for the enemy to give you such special treatment! (jerk)
We will be praying for your strength and healing. Please give our love to Ron, too. I don't know which is worse, going through it or watching someone you love so much go through the pain. We will be praying for his strength to hold up as well. LOVE YOU!!

Hi Leslyn,
Every Sunday at CCC's 9:00 prayer time we pray for you. This time (yesterday), I saw the atmosphere open up, and rain from Heaven came down. There was a small plague. In number it was only 1(if u think of a single plague as many thousands of something or another, this was just 1...a very lonely number) which I commanded away; as it left and dissapeared, a heavy steel door slammed shut and the plague could no longer come back.
This was very encouraging to me and I pray that it is 4 you as well, in your body and your spirit.
I don't know what this will look like, or how He will do it, but I do know that Almighty God is and has been working. I love the Daniel description you illistrated a couple days ago. It spoke to my heart as I read it.
Love you sooooo very much,
many hugs and kisses,
Suzanne B.

Leslyn and family, we are thinking of you today and often....gotten a couple laughs (Typical Uncle Ronnie with the Geiger counter) and tears reading your updates, thank you for sharing! Knowing where you all are today and what you are going through has brought back lots of memories and butterflys in my stomach....I am sorry you have to go through this....but I also know God is walking with you all....not a journey anyone ever wishes for, but simply put it is still a journey. Please know that we are thinking and praying for you ALL as you head through this day and the days to come....we love you!

Hi Leslyn - Thank you so much for choosing to write in your journal again! Your far away friends, like me, still keep up on your tremendous growth in the Lord in the midst of your cancer battle and recovery. We love you very much and will certainly keep this next surgery set in our prayers and am sorry the scar tissue growth is so painful. We will ask the Lord to give the surgeons all that they need to do a masterful work in resculpting your body - perhaps the same genious granted to Michelangelo! Looking forward to your next quick write, a.k.a. testimaonial of God's goodness to you and your spirit amidst some of the greatest of physical ordeals. "Oh flesh, where is thy victory - oh death, where is thy sting?" Those two are losers when it comes to the victory in soul and spirit that we have in Christ! AMEN! Back to my grading grind... the school teacher's work is never ending! Love in Christ, Linda & Stuart Anthony
